The New Year is just around the corner and while it’s a great time to set goals or make resolutions, it’s also a great time to call your local Gaudette Insurance agent to find out if any of your insurance policies need to be updated. With all of life’s changes and chaos, we recommend reviewing your insurance policies at least once a year to make sure you, your loved ones, and all of your belongings are protected. We put together a few scenarios that you would likely need to make changes to your auto, home and life insurance policies.

Auto Insurance

You may need to update your auto insurance if:
  • You have a new teen driver or plan to add another family member to your policy.

  • You purchased or plan to purchase a new car.

  • You use your vehicle as a delivery driver or for commercial use.

Home Insurance

You may need to update your home insurance, or add another layer of protection like Umbrella Insurance, if:

  • You made an addition or upgraded your home — for example if you added a pool, renovated your basement, added a new floor you will need to review your policy to make sure you have enough coverage.

  • You bought a new house or paid off your mortgage.

  • You installed a new home security system.

  • You now run a business out of your home.

Life Insurance

Life happens fast, and sometimes we don’t realize how much has changed over the last year. Here are a few situations that you may need to update your life insurance policy:

  • You recently got married or divorced.

  • Welcome a newborn to your family.

  • You had a change in income or began retirement.

If you can relate to any of the insurance-qualifying events mentioned above, then we encourage you to do a policy review and make sure your coverage is adjusted to your latest life changes.

Our team will be able to help you determine which policies need updating and what works best for you and your family. Contact your local Gaudette Insurance agent for a policy review today.
